Mahina Apple & Mantis

This unit is made up of Mahina Apple, the "Evangelist of Love" vocalist for the dance music band Mahina Apple Band, and Mantis, the beatmaker known as "Oyakofuko Street's Best Kept Secret." Mahina Apple's omnivorous musicality, influenced by live band sounds and house music, combined with Mantis's tracks, which have demonstrated his skills in collaboration with numerous MCs, result in the creation of M&M SOUNDS, which exudes a blend of genres.
In 2019, they released the album "Sign" (CD).
In 2021, they released a 7-inch with the new track "Get FaNNY," which includes a GroovemanSpot remix of "Ai wo Okurerou," a morning dance floor classic from "Sign." Anticipation and excitement for the new album are building.
Both are blood type B and lone wolves.
◆mahina apple (Mahina Apple)
One of Fukuoka's leading singers. She is the vocalist for the dance music band Mahina Apple Band. Influenced by house music, her beautifully flowing live performances, featuring live sounds but with the ability to mix and direct between songs like a club DJ, have attracted attention from the club scene, and she has performed at a variety of parties across genres. Her 2018 release, "ROKU e.p.", has a more pop band sound and has attracted a wide audience. Her message of "love," heavily influenced by dance music and parties, has resonated with many. In addition to performing live, her solo work as Mahina Apple has also been actively involved in production work with beatmakers and singers such as MANTIS (3rd STONE), who are also active in the prefecture and beyond, and who are primarily involved in Oyakofuko. She loves watermelons.
